Setting up Multiple Email Accounts
Example: Suppose you have created a default preference for your current email account. Now you have added a second email account from a different Internet Service Provider. How do I setup Air Mail to get messages from the new account? Adding a new Preference1. Open the Preference window. 2. Enter or modify each preference. eg: userid, pop server, smtp server, password etc.. 3. Select Save As and enter a file name for your preference. When naming your preference try using your ISP name. eg: amigaworld.prefs, toysoft.com.prefs When setting up multiple preferences please do not select Save Default because this will save the current preference as the default preference which Air Mail uses during startup. Setting up Hotkey with PreferenceOnce you have added a second or more preferences you can assign hotkeys to your preferences. 1. Open the Preference window and select the Hotkeys tab. 2. Select a function key cycle gadget from F1 to F10 and select Load Prefs. 3. Click on the File icon on the right of the string gadget. 4. In the File requester goto ENVARC:AirMail directory. 5. Select the preference file and click OK. 6. Select Save Default from the preference. Make sure that you have loaded your default preference (the one you always use) before saving it as default. The above steps assigns a function to a hotkey. Now when ever you want to check mail from your other account you can simple hit the function key and then select check mail. Note: Since each preference have a set of hotkeys. If you are switching back and
forth between preferences you would need to create the same hotkeys for each preference,
otherwise if you load a preference that doesn't have any hotkeys then you would required to
manually load your default preference. |
